L’eau D’issey by Issey Miyake, L’Eau D’Issey for men, which translates as ‘Issey’s water’, was launched in 1994. It is a masculine, woody scent that is perfect for evening wear. The top notes consist of bergamot, cypress, mandarin, clary sage, yuzu, verbena, tarragon and coriander. The heart notes include nutmeg, saffron, water lily, cinnamon and geranium. The base notes are amber, tobacco, musk, sandalwood, cypriol and vetiver.
Issey Miyake was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1938. After studying graphic design at university, he traveled to Paris and New York, two places he would return to with his fashion collections, debuting his first one in New York in 1971 and Paris Fashion Week a few years later. In 1970, he launched the fashion label that would take his name. Known for being inspired by technology, the company sells clothing, watches, bags and fragrances for men and women. The first scent was launched in 1992.
